A: Check-in 3pm/Checkout 12pm.
Q: Do you allow smoking on property?
A: No, Boston hotels are all non-smoking.
Q: How much do you charge for high speed/Wi-Fi internet access?
A: 200 Mbps high speed internet access is complimentary.
Q: Do you have a fitness center? What kind of equipment does it have? What are the hours?
A: Yes, our complimentary fitness center is open 24/7 and is located on the second floor. It is equipped with elliptical and treadmill machines, free weights, varying weight medicine balls, and multipurpose weight stations. Simply use your room key for entry.
Q: Do you have a pool?
A: No, however our concierge staff is happy to assist you with locating a nearby facility. Our Concierge can be contacted by dialing 617-979-8100.
Q: How do I get to the hotel?
A: We are located at 1 Court Street in Downtown Boston.

Q: Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?
A: No, however, taxis are readily available at the airport and the average cost from Boston’s Logan Airport (BOS) to the hotel is approximately $25-$35. Other options, such as Uber and Lyft are available as well. An app on your mobile device or tablet is needed for these services. Our Concierge can assist with a car service and can be contacted through email or by dialing 617-979-8100.
Q: What are your cross streets?
A: Congress Street, Washington Street, and Court Street.
Q: Do you have onsite parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?
A: Yes, valet parking is available for an additional $50 per night with unlimited in and out privileges. Other parking facilities with pricing similar to ours are nearby, but do not offer unlimited in and out privileges.
Q: Will your rooms allow rollaways/cribs/playards? Is there a charge?
A: There is a $30+tax charge for all rollaways. Cribs and playards are available at no charge. All room types will accommodate the additional sleeping arrangements, however, it is against Boston fire-code to place a rollaway bed in a room equipped with two queen sized beds or our standard king room.
Q: What is the minimum age requirement to check into the room?
A: 21yrs old
Q: What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
A: If booked directly through the Hotel, we have a 24 Hour prior to arrival cancellation policy on most reservations. You must cancel by 3pm Eastern Standard Time the day prior to arrival to avoid a penalty. On certain reservations a special cancellation may apply. If booked through a third party or online service, you may be subject to different cancellation policies.
Q: Is my ID/passport required at check in?
A: Yes, a valid government issued picture ID is required for Hotel Check-in.
Q: What age do kids stay for free?
A: Kids 17 and under stay for free in existing bedding when accompanying an adult.
Q: Do you have connecting rooms?
A: Yes, however, not traditional connecting rooms. The rooms we label as connecting do so through an outside door which will shut and the two adjacent room doors will be propped open and connected by a small private hallway. Room keys will access the exterior hallway door. Contact Ames Boston Hotel directly to ensure if these are the accommodations you desire; our team can ensure you are blocked in one of these specific sets.

Q: What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?
A: A valid credit card is required to check in to the hotel, but guests may use cash or credit card at checkout to settle their bill.
Q: Does the hotel require a deposit for incidentals?
A: Yes, the hotel requires a $150.00 authorization per night. If not used, this authorization is released by your credit card company or bank 7-10 days after your departure.
Q: How can the incidental deposit be made?
A: This deposit can be placed on your credit or debit card. We do not accept cash for incidental deposits.
Q: How much money does the hotel authorize on my debit or credit card at check-in?
A: At check-in we authorize your entire stays’ room and tax plus an incidental deposit.
Q: I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, and/or gifts sent to the room. How do I do this?
A: Please contact the Concierge Desk at 617-979-8100 to organize a personalized amenity.
Q: Do you allow pets?
A: We do allow pet guests to stay at Ames Boston. Please contact our Concierge Desk at 617-979-8100 for pet supplies needed during your stay. We do require pets to be kept on a leash while enjoying the property and crated in the room if they will be unattended. There is a $50 per night pet fee. Please view our entire pet policy here and inform us of your additional guest so that we may make appropriate accommodations to ensure an enjoyable stay for you, your pet, and all our guests.
